Sightings Overview:

What an action-packed day on the water! Our guests were treated to the breathtaking sight of orcas chasing/hunting sea lions, followed shortly by a remarkable display of humpback whales feeding.

 

The humpbacks’ feeding display, paired with the dramatic orca chase, made for an unforgettable combination of predator-prey interactions and awe-inspiring feeding behavior from the humpbacks.

 

Wildlife Observed:

  • Orcas (chasing/hunting sea lions)
  • Sea lions (involved in orca hunt)
  • Humpback whales (lunge feeding)

This rare and spectacular combination of orcas hunting and humpback whales feeding all in the same trip made for one of the most memorable experiences of the season!a whale jumping out of the ocean
