Prey
Sea birds feed on fish, squid, and similar oceanic food. Some will follow fishing boats to take scraps. Some species also commonly follow whales to feed on fish disturbed by them. Other species dive to catch their prey.
Threats
Human habitation and use of coastal areas removes seabird breeding, foraging and resting habitats on islands and shorelines.
