WEDNESDAY JULY 15TH 2026

We had another great day on Monterey Bay with 4–5 humpback whales just offshore of Moss Landing, giving us beautiful tail flukes and close looks at one whale’s face, while rafts of sea lions followed nearby. We also encountered a single humpback traveling with a pod of 1,000+ common dolphins, and the whale treated us to a couple of impressive tail throws.Whale tail above ocean surface with dolphins in the background.
