Daily Sightings

Started the day with a pod of over 100 common dolphins before spending the trip with multiple humpback whale pairs and trios. Guests enjoyed repeated breaching, backstroke behavior, close encounters, and an energetic pod of Pacific white-sided dolphins, including the tiniest calf we’ve ever seen doing backflips.

Friday’s whale watching trips found scattered humpback whales feeding throughout Monterey Bay. Guests enjoyed excellent looks as the whales worked schools of surface bait, attracting large flocks of seabirds and creating an exciting feeding frenzy. It was another beautiful day of classic summer feeding activity on the bay.

Thursday brought another outstanding day of humpback whale watching on Monterey Bay! Our 9:00 AM trip began with a beautiful humpback cow-and-calf pair before encountering several additional groups throughout the morning.
