Great day for whale watching in Monterey Bay! We seen a huge pod of 100 common dolphins and Multiple Humpback whale sighting. We encountered the CA51A and CA50B orcas once again!

An action-packed Monterey Bay whale watching trip! We started with 150 common dolphins bow and wake riding before encountering members of the CA51A killer whale family. The young orcas were kelping, breaching, and surfing on their backs! We finished with 8–10 different humpback whales among dozens feeding throughout the area.  

We encountered 40+ humpback whales, including a huge feeding group of around 30 humpbacks surrounded by nearly 200 sea lions. We also spotted exciting breaching and other surface activity in the distance—spectacular whale watching and marine wildlife action on Monterey Bay!

We encountered around 50 humpback whales, focusing on a feeding group of about 20 alongside sea lions. We finished with a close pass from three killer whales (orcas)—the CA51As and CA50B—before heading back to Monterey.

Amazing Monterey Bay whale watching near Moss Landing! We spotted 20 common dolphins, 30+ humpback whales, and three killer whales (orcas)—two CA51As and CA50B. We also encountered a northern fur seal, making for an incredible day of whale watching on the Monterey Bay!

Orcas ! They made a kill, followed by a spy hop from the female, a tail throw from the juvenile, and some amazing close passes from the male Jimmy

An incredible day of whale watching on Monterey Bay! We encountered 200+ long-beaked common dolphins, followed by the CA51A orcas Andi and Astrid with Jimmy near the Moss Landing harbor entrance. Numerous humpback whales were actively feeding throughout the area, including a group of 12 accompanied by a huge raft of sea lions that stampeded…

An incredible day of whale watching on Monterey Bay with numerous humpback whales, including a group of six males displaying exciting social behavior. We also encountered the CA51A killer whales with Jimmy, featuring breaches, tail lobs, close passes, and hunting activity. Hundreds of common dolphins rounded out the day with energetic bow riding and breaching.

Another incredible day of whale watching on Monterey Bay! On our way toward Moss Landing, we encountered 80+ common dolphins before finding a feeding group of at least 12 humpback whales surrounded by sea lions. The humpbacks also treated us to exciting pectoral fin slaps and tail throws!

Another fantastic Monterey Bay whale watching trip with 8 humpback whales and 50+ common dolphins! One humpback treated us to an exciting tail throw, while Caspian terns, shearwaters, and common murres filled the skies around Monterey Bay.
